Attendance
For the Leadership Baldwin County program to be truly meaningful, class members have a responsibility to participate fully. Attendance at scheduled functions, as well as interaction among class members, is essential to the total learning experience.

Attendance is mandatory at the overnight opening retreat scheduled for October 2024, at Beckwith Camp and Conference Center. Monthly sessions, beginning at 8:30 a.m., are held on the second Thursday of the month of November through April. Graduation is in May. At least 80% attendance is required for the monthly day-long sessions in order to graduate from the program.

Tuition
If selected, tuition is due at the beginning of September. Tuition is $1200 per applicant. The tuition covers all program materials, meals, and refreshments on meeting days, chartered transportation, the opening retreat, and graduation. Tuition is non-refundable. Flexible payment plans are available upon request. Leadership Baldwin County is a self-sustaining program.

Scholarships
Partial scholarships are available and applications for scholarship assistance may be requested on the program application. The Phil Norris Scholarship, the Geniece Johnson Scholarship, the Harry Still Scholarship, the Steve McMillan Scholarship, and the P. Grey Cane Jr. Scholarship are among the sources of funds. Financial assistance is based on financial needs. Leadership Baldwin County accepts donations to the scholarship fund. The scholarship fund is administered through Baldwin County United, a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization.

Selection
Applications are confidentially reviewed by a Selection Committee comprised of community leaders. Applicants are notified in August of class selection. Since class size is limited, the selection process is competitive.
Applicants representing a corporation or organization must have the full support of their employer or sponsoring organization. Individuals do not need to be associated with a business or organization to apply.

• Individuals who represent a cross-section of the community including business, government, non-profit agencies, community service volunteers, and professions.

• Individuals who will commit to program attendance and participation requirements.

Applications received after August 1 may not be considered. Apply today for the 2024-2025 class!
